Sundarban is the region which is densely covered by mangrove forests, and is one of the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. It is also home to a variety of bird, reptile and invertebrate species, including the salt-water crocodile.The Sundarbans as a whole encompasses 10,000 km2 of land and water, about 5,980 km2 in India and the balance is in Bangladesh. The entire basin is traversed by a complex network of interconnecting waterways. Tidal waves as high as 75 m are a regular feature here.

Details Itinerary :

Day-1 : Kolkata to Sundarban

  • Receive from Kolkata Airport/Railway station and drive to Sonakhali ferry ghat to board on launch. Now the actual thrill begins. As we board the Sundarban launch or Sundarban cruise and head towards our first destination, Gosaba, the windy Matla River and the green vegetation upon its delta is undoubtedly to take your heart away from the dun of the city life. The Sundarban launch ride is a huge attraction in itself and does not feel like any other mundane journey. Before we even know it, we will reach Gosaba, and our Sundarban tours will get a head start. First, the Sudurban tourism package will take us to the Sundarbans tour of 2 Historical bungalows – the first is the Beacon Bungalow. It is one of the most historical Bunglow and is famous because it was Tagore’s abode during his Sundarban tour. Next, we head towards another of the major bunglow that is Hamilton Bungalow. After sightseeing check in hotel. Overnight at hotel. 

Day-2 : Sundarban Sightseeing

  • Start At Sunrise from Sajnekhali, We will start our thrilling Sundarban boat Safari through various rivers, Islands & narrow Creeks covering Pirkhali, SarakKhali, Gazikhali, Deul Bharani, Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve ( Watch Tower ), Do Banki ( Watch Tower ), Pirkhali, Gazikhali, Duel Varani, Bonbibi Varani, Panchamukhani (5 River Junctions). After sightseeing return back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 – Sightseeing & Departure :

  • Early morning, we will start Sundarban Houseboat Safari. Explore the mystical forests while cruising through the dense woods and backwaters. Sarakkhali 1, Sarakkhali 2. After sightseeing drop to Sonakhali ferry ghat, then drive back to Kolkata.

Know Before You Go for Sundarban Tour By Cruise From Kolkata :

  • Taking care of essential items like cameras, binoculars, sunglasses etc. is on your own.
  • Make sure that you wear proper sized and comfortable footwear, as the safari also includes some walking.
  • The bonfire is only available in Winters.
  • Since the place is located in untamed natural surroundings, expecting luxuries is not advised.
  • Indian Nations can carry any kind of valid ID proof; however, if a foreigner, you would need to bring your passport and Indian Visa.
  • Making contact with animals or birds is not allowed, and feeding them can lead to some severe consequences, including termination of the trip.
  • All the food mentioned in the itinerary will be provided.
  • Minimum 2 persons are required to book this tour.
  • Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests.
  • The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.

  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, etc. are not a part of the package.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal.
  • Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.

  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
