Details Tour Itinerary
Day – 01 : Welcome to Kolkata
- Receive from Kolkata airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in hotel. Evening free time for personal activates. Overnight stay in Kolkata.
Day – 02 : Kolkata to Sundarban – Sightseeing
Start at 7 AM from Kolkata, Reach Gadkhali by 11 AM (Breakfast on the way). Board the Motor Boat and head straight for Sajnekhali Watch Tower which will take 2 hrs to reach. Have lunch on the boat. Visit Mangrove interpretation Centre & Watch Tower (many tigers have been sighted from here in the past). Visit the buffer forest by boat for bird watching OR visit a nearby village to experience the livelihood of the villagers. You can meet people like honey collectors, fishermen and also survivors of tiger attack. It is very interesting to know about the livelihood of these people, which is very different from ours. Options of Country boat ride and fishing in local pond are also available in accordance with personal preferences. We hope that you will remember this experience with pleasure.
The night will be spent on the motorboat. This is a unique and fun experience. It is extremely relaxing and de-stressing to be surrounded by this infectious silence. The boat has accommodation facilities for up to ten tourists and is equipped with all basic amenities. You are bound to feel one with Nature while you sit on the deck in the evening. However if the team size is more than ten we shall shift everyone to a resort of good quality with no additional cost. Dinner will be served on the boat.
Day – 03 : Sundarban Sightseeing
- Start At Sunrise from Sajnekhali, obtain full day permission to visit the Tiger reserve. Breakfast on boat, Cruise through creeks and rivers in the core tourism areas of the Reserve all day; Lunch On Boat. Visit at least 2 watch towers, Sudhannyakhali & Dobanki. We can arrange for some local folk musicin the evening. Dinner & Stay on boat if team size is below ten, or else in a standard resort at our cost on a sharing basis.
Day – 04: Sundarban to Kolkata:
- Start At Sunrise and Cruise through the buffer forest. Visit Gosaba, the biggest and most important local market for Sundarbans, and Hamilton’s bungalow and another bungalow (Beacon Bungalow) where the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore had once stayed. Have lunch and board the car at Gadkhali to head back to Kolkata.
Day – 05 : Final Departure
- After morning breakfast check out from hotel & free time until drop to Kolkata Airprot. Trip End.
