About Dooars

The Dooars or Duars are the alluvial floodplains in northeastern India that lie south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas and north of the Brahmaputra River basin. This region is about 30 km wide and stretches over about 350 km from the Teesta River in West Bengal to the Dhansiri River in Assam.

Day – 01 : Welcome to Dooars

  • Receive from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Transfer to Murti.
  • Evening free time.
  • Overnight stay at Murti.

Day – 02 : Murti Sightseeing

  • Morning breakfast at hotel.
  • Proceed to Murti Sightseeing including Jalong, Bindu, Chapramari.
  • Overnight stay at Murti.

Day – 03 : Final Departure

  • Morning breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out from hotel & free time until drop to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for sweet home.

  1. A Person Below 12 Years Of Age On Date Of Return Flight Will Be Considered A Child.
  2. Third Person In A Triple Room Will Be Provided A Roll Away Bed.
  3. All Transfers And Sightseeing (As Specified In The Itinerary) By Non Air-Conditioned Coach
  4. It Is Suggested To Carry One Check In Bag And One Hand Bag Per Person Only, Due To Limited Boot Space In The Coach.
  5. Services Of Our Tour Manager Or Local Representatives, While On Tour.
  6. A Local Representative Or Your Coach Driver May Only Be There To Assist You During Your Initial Part Of The Tour. 
  7. Though, Dooars Can Be Visited Any Time During The Year But The Best Time To Visit Dooars And For Animal Sightseeing Is Between The Months Of November To March. The Weather Is Quite Cool And Comfortable. During Summer Months Of April, May And June, The Weather Is Hot And Humid. However, It Heavily Rains From July To September.
  8. Forest In Dooars I.E. Gorumara, Jaldapara, Chilapata And Buxa Remains Closed From 15 June To 15 September Every Year. Entry To The Forest Is Restricted During This Period. No Forest Safaris Are Organized During This Time Of The Year.
  9. Tickets For Jungle Safari, Elephant Safari, Jeep Safari Are Issue On The Spot By The Forest Department. Issuance Of Tickets For Jungle Safari, Elephant Safari Or Jeep Safari Solely Depend On Forest Department Authorities. Pre-Booking Of Tickets Is Not Possible, Hence Booking Cannot Be Guaranteed In Advance.
  10. Private Vehicles Are Restricted To Enter The Forest. Only Forest Department Jeeps Are Allowed Inside The Forest. Jeeps Are Provided From The Respective Ticket Counters.
  11. Every Individual Of Indian Origin Should Produce Any Of The Government ID Proof Like- Voted ID, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence Or Passport.
  12. Only 6 (Six) Visitors Are Permitted In One Car Along With A Guide Provided By Forest Department. 
  13. Certain Sightseeing/Excursions If Closed Then Alternate Sightseeing Will Be Done.
  14. Kindly Note That On Certain Departure Dates The Tour Routing Could Change. In Some Tours, There Is Also A Possibility That The Tour Could Operate In Reverse Itinerary. However, You Will Not Miss Any Sightseeing Or Excursions That Are Mentioned In The Itinerary Unless Its Closed Due To Holiday. Your Tour Manager Will Notify You The Same.
